Currently advances in science are moving rapidly and in doing so are shaking many from the tree of world religion. The largest organized religions of all are seeing a decrease of followers. But are Biblical Scholars and World Religions afraid of change; afraid of losing their power base? What about their followers what do they have to say about all this? Well most followers who are holdouts are not worried about it really. Recently in a think tank a biblical scholar had something to say about the potential evil use of technology advances and talked about the ethics issues; he stated:

“God teaches and guides. I am not afraid of change, but you guessed right about some giving you the Bible for reference… look to it.”

This was met with a tinge of animosity from another online think tanker in the forum. Who wished the gentleman and biblical scholar would keep his religion out of the field of science and technology referring to the Earth being round not flat. In fact he was so riled up after the four pages of biblical ramblings that he stated:

“Thank you for your perceived and meaningful advice, unfortunately having failed to properly make your points, I would not be wise to follow your advice in these matters. Indeed, why would anyone need an external invisible friend to guide one? I think therefore I am, so I think I will follow my own lead, thank you so much for your opinion. Indeed I have read all the biblical literature of the Christian Religions, interesting. But I am partial to the tales of Gilligan’s Island, Brady Bunch, MASH and Happy Days for more relevant stories of why one should maintain moral judgment. Because it makes sense and because it is the right thing to do, as far as bettering the Human Species, I bet we can better the 400 million years or more of evolution, which got us here to better live in the present period considering the new parameters and top of the food chain status, large civilizations and take this show to the next step. Onward and upward!”

How do you feel about technology and religion? Can they co-exist? Do you look towards the bible to guide you in issues of ethics with regards to technology? Think on this in 2006.

The Mormons may have started something here according to Chris Talkington.

After the city of Twin Falls gave the church wavers for building height and spire height on the new temple to be built in Twin Falls, Chris decided to open thing up again. He has a special concern. He said, “It could be a contest by religious denominations for who can reach the closest to God.”

Hummmnnn! This is something we must watch out for!

The Mormons are building a temple that will be 50 feet high while Twin Falls only allows buildings to be 35 feet high in residential areas. The spire will be 159 feet high. Fritz Wunderlich, who knows such things, said that there is no spire limit, but that did not make Chris happy. He has that special concern.

The city decided that most folks on that side of town would still be able to see Evil Knievel’s ramp to the east if they stood on their roofs.

Well, the city didn’t really decide this. I did.

In 1974, Evil Knievel attempted to fly high above the Snake River and land on the other side–perhaps only suffering a broken hip and a couple of broken arms.

Evil took off with his rocket-powered motorcycle and things looked good.

Then his parachute opened a bit too soon and he landed down in the canyon.

You don’t have to stand on a roof to see the ramp. You can see it from the Perine Bridge where folks jump off with parachutes all the time.

We allow such things out here in Idaho. We invite you to spend your vacation here parachuting off the Perine Bridge.

One guy jumped 50 times a few weeks back to prove that he could jump 50 times. He got very tired climbing out of that canyon. Five volunteers kept folding and folding those parachutes. Such diligence!

Biblical Account of the Tower of Babel

Now the whole earth had one language and few words. And as men migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”

So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the earth. - Genesis 11.

I quote from our source: “Archaeologists examining the remains of the city of Babylon have found what appears to be the foundation of the tower: a square of earthen embankments some three-hundred feet on each side. The tower’s most splendid incarnation was probably under King Nebuchadnezzar II who lived from 605-562 BC. The King rebuilt the tower to stand 295 feet high. Seeing that the Mormon spire will be only 159 feet high, God may not get too angry. But we should be thankful that Chris is looking out for us. We mustn’t have God scatter us again creating another zillion languages, not one of us being able to understand the other.

Hey! Maybe that wouldn’t be all that bad! It could stop all of that babbling in Washington, D.C.

While we are waiting for the new Tower of Babel maybe we could get the Congress to go to Babylon and climb the old tower.

Maybe God would fix things again!

The Reasons Behind Reincarnation and Past Lives

Just as you see the body of man develop, the spirit within it is also developing, but the body finds a limit for his development, while the spirit requires many matters and the eternity to attain his perfection.

That is the reason for the law of reincarnation. You were born from the paternal and maternal mind of God, pure, simple and cleansed, like a seed, but do not be confused, because it is not the same to be pure and simple as it is to be great and perfect.

28. You already have the certainty in this period of time, that you have come before to dwell on Earth in multiple occasions, because you believe in the reincarnation of the spirit. But this revelation, as I have delivered it to you, will shake the world; it will cause a revolution among mankind, and because of it, they will reach the explanation of many mysteries and the fortitude for their spirit, because the law of reincarnation of the spirit is a law of love, and My light is within it.

You still do not know, Oh beloved people, how many times you have come to dwell on Earth through different material bodies; and even when the flesh scrutinises itself and interrogates its own spirit, you are still unable to contemplate your past, your previous lives, because I, as the Father, have precluded this knowledge. I have not yet allowed your spirit to uncover its previous lives through his reincarnations in this human existence, this being still a prohibition by the Holy Spirit who is among you manifesting through human understanding.

However, you are preparing the future generations, those who will come possessing spirits of great spiritual elevation, and who are still inhabiting in the Beyond, where they are purifying and elevating themselves to come to this planet through the law of reincarnation. To them will be given, by the Holy Spirit, the faculty of recalling their previous lives, to learn of their past, because that will be beneficial to their own spirit.

If I have not granted it to you, it is because I still find weakness in your spirit, and even more in your matter, and you would become frightened on contemplating your past. It is for that reason that your Father, who is perfect wisdom, has not yet wanted to reveal through your matter, the past of your spirit.

That grace is reserved for the future generations, to those whose knowledge of the past will not cause any harm, and you will be, for them, like an open book before their eyes.
